OVERVIEW
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a way to automate in the importing and exporting and data or ETL: extract, transform and load. It is a visual part of SSIS, using tasks, components and flowcharts, so it is simple to learn the basics. The course covers:
- Extraction, Transform and Load (ETL) tasks.
- Using SQL Server tables, Excel spreadsheets and text files as your source.
- Changing data types, adding columns, aggregating, splitting, sorting and joining.
- Viewing what has been created, and saving it to a spreadsheet, database table, or the clipboard.
On completion of this course, you will be confident in using the main Data Flow components and Control Flow tasks, and will be able to apply it to your own work.
.
