This course goes through all of the skills required for the Microsoft Applied Skills: Create and manage canvas apps with Power Apps

Microsoft canvas Power Apps allows you to create “pixel-perfect” apps, based on information either in the Dataverse (the Power Platform database) or using one of over 1,000 connectors.

In this 2½ hour course we’ll cover the skills that you need for the Microsoft Applied Skills credential for canvas Power Apps.

By the end of the course, you’ll be much more confident about creating canvas Power Apps and perhaps even take the official Microsoft assessment. That would look great on your CV or resume.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

This course is for you if you want to create an online app which allows users to view and edit data.

However, if you want to do the Applied Skills in this course, you may want to have a version of Microsoft Office with the Web version of Excel and SharePoint, such as Microsoft 365 Business Basic (you may be able to have a free trial).

  • Connect to a data source,
  • Save and Publish the app

CONFIGURE A GALLERY

  • List multiple items in the one control.
  • Connect to data.
  • Format the results.

CONFIGURE A DETAILS SCREEN

  • Add a second screen.
  • Connect to the gallery.
  • Add navigation

CONFIGURE AN INPUT SCREEN

  • Add an edit and new item screen.
  • Add icons to navigate between the screens.
  • Add Sort, Refresh, Delete and Search functions.
